On July 10 - NPR's Morning Edition used The Wail's Tishamingo Blues and Posh de Wash as a bump after a story about France's Model Health Care For New Mothers.

- maybe we can get Sylvia Pujolli to do a cameo on the next CD.

While you're at it check out HWail's my space page - Range Records has been working it lately and they've done a bang up job            ----    and Range's home page as well

Resist Temptation

Harmonious Wail | Range Records

By C. Michael Bailey

Django Reinhardt is often overlooked as one of the seminal figures in jazz. Jazz, a uniquely American art, became international in the hands of Reinhardt and his partner in crime, French violinist Stephane Grappelli. Reinhardt's jazz was colorful, natural, and spontaneous. As a trend setter, Reinhardt gave birth to many “gypsy jazz” combos, one of the best being the quartet, Harmonious Wail.

When Harmonious Wail was first reviewed on this website,

Wail report from the road - July 11, 12 and13, 08
Written by Sims
Monday, 14 July 2008 08:20

I wouldn't really call it a tour but the swing to State College, Pennsylvania, Chicago and Beloit this past weekend was absolutely prodigious! The Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts in State College was our destination for Friday, July 11. We got on the road by 6:30am & flew through Chicago with out a jam - always an issue. The Wail is so good at being road ready that the trips them selves are actually refreshingly boring. After a rollover, we welcome non eventful. State College was alive and happening. The Festival was extremely well organized and we were treated like top self artistes`. As we pulled up to our stage area we caught the last few refrains of Luminescent Orchestrii - ".....a frantic, salty and irrepressible stomp" - a tasty, hip balkan-esque romp from Brooklyn - perfect band for a perfect Friday night concert. The Wail was certainly ready to let loose after a long drive and we played two energy charged sets to packed stands.

Featured Harmonious Being of the Month - John Christensen
Written by Sims
Tuesday, 17 June 2008 18:33

It only seems natural to start this new section of the monthly Wail news with the most harmonious guy in wail world - the one, the only JOHN CHRISTENSEN. John was the Wail bassist from Jan 1, 2005 to April 17, 2008 and he is now the most exalted web master of www.wail-world. John was absolutely wonderful to travel with - turning us all on to new music - he was so in love with his iPod we dubbed him "jPod". If you get a chance, ask him to tell you the joke with the punch line "Run Henry Run!" -- if he can remember the rest of the joke - the punch line got enough laughs by itself. We have worked with a pretty large number of bassists and John's flowing, lyrical and supportive approach is unequaled.
