Hello from Wail World,
   Man what a week!  The sixth annual Midwest Gypsy Swing Fest was a smashing success - again!   Thank you, thank you, thank you to all who attended, performed, jammed , sponsored and volunteered.  It really is pretty emotional to be part of such a high energy and super appreciative crowd of folks -- and the talent all gathered in one beautiful place at the same perfect time is simply blissful.  Please come to the Midwinter fest and please come back to number 7 - plans are in the works.

    The 2010 Midwinter Midwest Gypsy Swing Fest is slated for Feb 12 and 13, 2010 at the Brink Lounge in Madison and the seventh annual Midwest Gypsy Swing Fest is a go for Aug 20 and 21, 2010

    I plan on working the web site - http://www.midwestgypsyswingfest.com - soon to have it's own mailing list.  I will make a big hoo-haa about it - when it happens I will stop using the Wail mail list for MGSF announcements so I would ask you to opt in and sign up for the Midwest Gypsy Swing Fest mail list.
    On to Harmonious Wail news.  Our Range Records producer Aaron Levinson came to Madison on Monday and we have booked the week at Smart Studios to finish up tracking the new CD.  We began tracking in June, 2009 at the Range Studios in Philadelphia - I've been calling the session 0609 - which is DCIX in roman numerals -- what do you think about that as a tittle?  OR  One of the tunes on the CD is called The Vegan Zombie's Lament - maybe that'll be the title.  We have 11 tunes - just last night we finished tracking - pretty exciting.  stay tuned!  Thank You Aaron, Beau, Smart Studios and Range Records!

The annual Isthmus Readers Poll came out a week or so ago and we are pleased excited and happy to announce that the Wail is a winner (#2) in the favorite jazz band category.   Thank you fans and Isthmus, tis an honor.
