Hello from Wail world ,    Things just keep on a poppin' here. How about one more round of thanks to Robin Nolan, Gonzalo Bergara, Swing Gitan, Harmonious Wail, Caravan GSE, and the Rhythm Kings -- and to our generous sponsors, all listed at www.midwestgypsyswingfest.com for making the Aug 2009 edition of the Midwest Gypsy Swing Fest perfect . We have finally finished the numero uno recording of these great concerts - The Midwinter 2008 Fest CD is now available at    www.midwestgypsyswingfest.com/music    Please mark your calendars for the Midwinter edition - Feb 12 & 13 2010 and on Aug 20 & 21 we are back at the Barn for the 7th annual.    Immediately after the festival, our grammy award winning producer Aaron Levinson came to town and we spent the week at Smart Studios here in Madison finishing up the recording of the new CD. It's mix and master time now. We are looking or a Feb or Mar 2010 release. Please stay tuned to wail .com and we will make a hoo-ha about it all when it's time nears.    On the gig scene we are headed east again for a really nice string of exciting performances. Please go to www.wail.com/gigs for all the details -- here is the overview. Sat Oct 17. It's our first time at the historic Caffe Lena The Wail will split the night with local heroes The Bernstein Bard Trio Caffè Lena has been named Best Small Venue in North America by the International Folk Alliance! Sun Oct 18. It is a real honor to return to the Sellersville Theatre in Sellersville PA - just north of Phila to open for the Kingston Trio. This will be hoot (short of a hootenany) Mon Oct 19 we have a day off in Philly -home of the future National League Baseball Champion Phillies - We plan a visit to Range Studios and we pick up Kevin Nolan, the premier gypsy jazz rhythm guitarist to play the next five shows with the Wail. We have been wanting to do this for a long time and we are thrilled. An all new super charged Wail for ye. Tues Oct 20 Benefit for the Middleburgh Pub Library -- Middleburgh NY Wed Oct 21 Chris' Jazz  is Philly's premier jazz club. HWail's second time in - a very special club and we promise a very special night - get there early to get a good seat- but there isn't a bad seat in the house.  Thurs Oct 22 Jazz at the Madison - Madison Hotel in Wash DC. The last time the Wail played The Madison Hotel was Jan 22, 2009. Need we say more, the place was buzzing, full of Wail fans and ovewhelming energy. Fri Oct 23  Main Stay in Rockhall, MD - Home of Musical Magic. This is our first time into the Mainstay - the line up of past performers reads like a who's who of cool and hip. We are honored and charged. Sat Oct 24 Jazz at the Powerhouse in downtown Annapolis, MD. Elana Byrd puts this one and The Madison Hotel gigs together - top shelf all the way - again, not a bad seat in the house. one more time - wail.com/gigs for detail on all the above I will try to send word from the road but if not I will send a note with Nov news when we get back.
